Two searches, two kinds of records

Find a Facility searches quality, confirmed facility and tank data managed in TankID. TankID QR codes open these records.

Claim a Facility searches a separate bulk list copied from state sources for sites not yet managed in TankID. A listing or submitted claim does not itself make the data confirmed. Claim status is shown separately. The registry currently covers Texas and Colorado, with other states planned.

Texas UST facility records

Texas records include petroleum storage tank information published by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) through its Permit and Registration Information System (PARIS). Available fields include facility identity, tank details, and registration information.

A TCEQ facility ID and a Regulated Entity reference number (RN) are different identifiers. Use the identifier requested by the search or form.

Colorado UST facility records

Colorado records come from public storage tank datasets published by the Division of Oil and Public Safety. Available fields differ from Texas; not every facility has tank-level details in the data held by TankID.

Dates, gaps, and corrections

Source or extract dates describe the data being shown. They are not necessarily the date TankID last processed it. A count of state-reported tanks may differ from the number of detailed tank records available.

Missing manufacturer, model, chart, or document information is not guessed. Authorized contributions are identified separately from agency records. A contribution in TankID does not update the state’s official database.

If a record appears incorrect or missing, contact TankID with the facility name, location, and state facility ID.
